From 1990 to today
Gunn Marie and Sveinung Haugen started the family camping site Garvikstrondi Camping at Sannes farm by Lake Seljordsvatnet in 1990. Later, with the great help of their children, Siv Anita, Hans Arne, and Halvor, the 50-acre campsite has developed into a gem and one of the best of its kind. The camping site, which is still a 100% family-owned business, now has 22 rental units, 110 permanent seasonal pitches, and several areas for motorhomes and tents. The camping site boasts a large outdoor area with many activities for both young and old. A playground for the little ones, activity rooms for the slightly older ones, and a barbecue area for the elders are some of the amenities you will enjoy here. There is also a football field and an area with mini-golf. Additionally, motorboat, rowboat, and pedal boat rentals are available, and we can assure you of excellent fishing opportunities. There is a large sandy beach, a guest pier, and many water activities such as diving towers and trampolines. Furthermore, there is a large restaurant with a bar, electric car charging facilities, a well-stocked shop, reception, toilets, and laundry facilities.
In addition to Norwegian, we also speak English, German, Slovak, and Italian.
